New Game
New game
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.
If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments

Home Alone
So Eldon has been gone for 7 days now. It feels like a month. He comes home Saturday night and it will be really nice to have him home. I usually do pretty well when he is gone because I am a very independent person. I like to schedule time for me. This usually involves scrapbooking, watching a movie and talking on the phone all at once until very late at night. For whatever reason I have been too tired to do those things this time around. Tonight is the night though. I am going to go to my mom's for awhile (a very nice haven when I am alone) and then I'll put the boys to bed and pull out the scrapbooking gear. I went to Cord today during lunch to buy some paper for some great lay outs.
The greatest thing that has happened since he left is that Donnie Copland has been my nanny this week. I could really go for this nanny thing. She is amazing. She has been doing our laundry, cleaning the house, taking the kids fun places, making them eat healthy things. I mean it's been unbelievable. Don't get me wrong, I have a great set up, it's just been nice to have someone come to my house in the morning instead of me having to go to theirs. THANK YOU DONNIE!
Eldon's largest conference always happens over our anniversary, so this year I took care of my own present. I bought a new camera. It is so much fun! It will also help in Alaska. I sent some chocolate covered Strawberries to his room for him. I think I got the better end of the deal.
I just have to say that I hand it to all you single mom's out there. It is so amazing how working and coming home by yourself can take the wind right out of you. When you think of having to add cleaning the house or doing laundry to your day, it just doesn't compute. It all of a sudden seems so unsurmountable that it almost causes you to shut down. So to have Donnie there doing that for me this week has made this years alone time so much better. It has been a true "tender mercy" from the Lord.
I have scheduled evenings with other stranded ladies for the rest of the week. As independent as I am I think the hardest part about the whole thing is that if you need the help on the little things, which you normally don't, you don't have it. I prefer the 3 day trips he takes much better.

I'm so excited
I am so excited to go to Alaska. I cannot wait to see everything. I cannot wait. Just thought I would throw this out there so that I could look at it everyday until we go.

Flag Cake for Dinner??
We decided it would be fun to let the boys eat the last bit of flag cake all by themselves right out of the pan. There were raspberries on this cake and a whole lot more blueberries. This is the aftermath of the cake eating contest. Both boys had frosting in their hair, and all over their bodies. It's so fun to see them finally playing together. This activity took almost an hour. They were very wound up the rest of the night, but it was really fun to let them be free.

Update on the Basement
I just wanted to inform everyone that the basement no longer smells like a diseased bog. It now just smells like a wet smelly shoe.
